Q: How do I turn my notebook's wireless on and off?
A: Most Gateway® notebooks have a designated multi-function button or function key to turn your wireless on and off. This information is located in your notebook's user guide. The user guides for the Gateway® branded notebooks are installed on your hard drive. To access your user's guide, from the Start menu, point to All Programs, and then click Gateway Documentation. User guides are also located on the Gateway® Web site. To download or view a copy of the user's guide from Gateway.com, select your notebook type from our Notebook User Guides support page. http://support.gateway.com/support/manlib/Notebooks/notebook.shtml Another source of reference for networking your computer is the Gateway Notebook Networking Guide. http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/M250/8510650.pdf Quick reference:

this may sound weird to you but turn off the laptop, remove the bezel, screws and the keyboard. start the computer until you get a keyboard error. enter the bios and restart with f10 and enter. when it restarts, shut off the laptop again. reinstall the keyboard. restart the computer and try to use the locked keys. i doubt the usb wireless caused this. if the keys are still stuck, then the keybaord is faulty. spill liquid on it?

Where is the location of the wireless switch on Gateway mx6453?

Hi There,

Your notebook does not have a physical wireless switch. However, holding down the fn key (lower left of keyboard) and pressing the F2 key will turn your wireless on and off. Below is the link to your online Manual.

Gateway MX6453 fan does not start until 70 degress celsius

This would be due to a faulty sensor if it does not reboot and overheat then leave it be and buy a cpu cooler that goes underneathe the unit there around 20 bucks.

Detailed post with photos. Same problem, different model; but it looks the same and other users said it worked for them. Read all the user comments first to see where other people had problems and maybe messed their computer up worse.

I have a gateway note book MX6453

you must match the model of your laptop and download the right version (widnow OS) for you laptop.

in my experience, if you install window xp sp2 or higher version, you don't have to install the Mass Storage Controller driver, becasue window include.

in face, if you don;t install , it is not a big deal, or your window also install for you.
