SOURCE: GP300 frequency programing

Here is what you would need: RIB (radio interface box), HKN9857 programming cable and HVN9128 programming software. You are correct the software is only capable of running on a DOS box, such as a 286 or 386. The software mentioned is Motorola proprietary and is available to Authorized Motorola dealers by subscription only.

The book also shows a cloning cable HKN9755 as being available. Don't know anymore details on it.

Lastly, the cost of programming to your FCC assigned frequencies would be approx. $15 per radio, and less for cloning like models. It might be less expensive to have the radio programmed by a dealer. Just an FYI.

Radio Tuning

That radio is easily programmable for other, or additional frequencies in the same band. I believe (I've been out of the business for a while) you need a special computer interface and software in order to affect a change. I'd contact a Motorola shop. You will also need to be licenced for the new frequency. I hope this helps.

Cp150 frequency change

This is a programmable radio. Using Motorola proprietary software, programming cable and radio interface box (RIB) the radio can be reprogrammed to another frequency/PL Code. This can be done by your Motorola dealer.

What is the frequency for this radio what ever came with it

These are programmable radios that require Motorola software and programing equipment that is only available through a Motorola dealer. A reputable dealer should be able to help you reprogram the radios with the appropriate frequencies and codes for your use.

Motorola astro moblie programming !!!!!

"No longer supported" means they don't repair them at their repair depot anymore. However, software for most models is still available. All Motorola software is by subscription, and they choose who can obtain a subscription. You must be a Channel Partner (dealer) or meet their criteria for obtaining it.

Most 800 MHz radios are trunking radios, and require a tower system to operate. Many towers in this bandsplit have been shutdown or retired due to changes in the licensing/availability of 800 MHz frequencies.

If you are planning on operating the radios with a tower system, see the owner of the system for programming. If you are wanting to use the radios in simplex (radio-to-radio), you could get them programmed at a full-line Motorola dealer. You will need to provide your FCC assigned frequencies.

The model number you mention is incomplete, and I could not determine which of the softwares you might need.

Best regards.

How do you change the channel on the AXU4100

Here is a link to the user guide, where you will find the available built-in frequencies, and instructions: http://acsspirit.com/brochures/ax_user_guide.pdf

You can also take your radio to a Motorola dealer and have them program it (custom) using Motorola software and cable designed for this style radio.

It could be as simple as enabling a private line code (PL code) in the radio. You may not need/want to change frequencies. Adding a PL code would block out other users on your frequency. You would not hear them, despite them still being there.

How could i program/change the freq of my motorola gp2000 manually

I don't think that you could program/change the freq of your Motorola GP2000 manually since newer Motorola radios today everything is done by computer and programming sotfware. You need to have software for GP2000, radio interface box ( RIB) and programming cable for GP2000 radio and these devices are not cheap. The best way is to contact a local repair shop to have it done for you or find a two-way radio technician, he could do this if he has all the test equipments required.
Good luck!

I want enter new frequencies into my motorola gp339,dont know how to do it.i was given the radio with no booklet ect...im a firefighter and want to put fire (FESA wa) Frequencies in my Radio..

Programming the radio requires a special cable and programming software. The cables aren't difficult to find, but you can't legitimately get the software unless you buy it from Motorola. They're pretty quick to go after sites that distribute their software. The versions of programming software available on the Web are sometimes buggy or older versions, and often the radios won't accept programming from older versions of software than they were originally set up with.

The easiest way to get your radio programmed is to check with an authorized Motorola dealer or service center. They'll have the necessary equipment to do the job right and will probably give you some kind of warranty on the work as well.

Motorola XTNi off frequency

There are several ways:
1) Customer Programming Software (CPS)*
Allows users to perform various programming
functions. Plus, the CPS software provides access
to new features such as Radio Reporting to
manage cloning and radio profiles, Manager Lock,
Power Select, and Time-Out Timers.
* CPS is available as an optional accessory, including required USB cable.
2) Easy Cloning
Quickly copy settings from radio to radio with
either the Radio-to-Radio Cloning Cable or the
Multi-Unit Charger accessories. (Both sold
separately.)

You should be able to purchase any of this software/equipment from your retailer where you purchased the radio.
