Brand new Stanley 1800 power washer - just bought it yesterday. Powered it on - realized I hadn't turned the water on - so turned it off - turned the water on and turned the Stanley back on - it ran for a second and powered off. Now it won't turn on again. Did I burn out the motor?

SOURCE: Electric Pressure Washer

Hi Your problem is your unloader pressure valve switch. It is a cylinder that moves up & down inside a housing,. activaded by water pressure.Inside the cavity of the housing is dirt on the wall of it.Thats your problem.Once you clean the cylinder wall & apply some water grease ,problem gone.Your problem is not the switch.

SOURCE: Suddenly the vacuum won't turn on

Could be a number of reasons, may have a bad cord, If the switch is on the hose, it may have gone bad. Could even be a motor problem. Needs to checked to find the problem.

SOURCE: pressure washer has no pressure

Try and back flush the washer..Take spay nozzle off washer and back flush with hose...If any kind of sand or deposits get into the Pump it will hold pressure valve open not letting it build pressure.after back flushing hook back up washer and before you put spar nozzle back on or start washer turn water on and make sure all air is out of washer..hook spray nozzle back up and hold it open with washer still off.when you see that there is no more air coming out of washer start it and you should have pressure.Hope this helps you and have a great day!!

What is causing water to leak out of the resovior when the power washer is running?

I am assuming you mean the chemical resovoir tank? If water is running out of it then water is coming back up your chemical injector. This usually means at some point the ball and spring in your injector got stuck...typically people take them apart at the nipple to ry and fix it. not realizing there is a small ball and spring in that nipple. This is actually a ball valve to prevent water from coming out of the chemical injector nipple. Replace the ball and spring if needed as well as the oring seat in the nipple. This will stop your tank from filling up. Good luck

Pressure Washer quit running

I have owned four of those units. Every one of them did what you are experiencing or just wouldn't give me any pressure after only a few uses. The company was certainly no help. I gave up after four and bought a heavier gas model from Lowes. Hope this info helps.
