I have the same problem. If left on, the vertical coloured stripe fades to a bright white. I have switched of at the power supply & removed all connections, cleaning the plugs & sockets as I went. I switched back on & the picture was back. It has happened several times, but the above procedure seems to solve it. I suspect the scart sockets are the problem, as I only remove these & replug.

You should connect your TV to an Active DtH Connection or a Live TV Cable or even to a working DVD/VCD Player etc. and tune it to the frequency of the same and it should start working. If it doesn't, please contact Service Center.

LG PLASMA TV WITH COLOURED LINES OVER SCREEN

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.
Good Luck.

Verticle lines on screen

This is a very easy fix. Your cable box is not grounded correctly. To fix this you need a AC Plug adapter. This will change your TV ac plug from a 3 wire to a 2 wire. This may sound funny, but trust me on this. I have fix a lot of TV in NY doing just this.24001fc.jpg
