Coby MPC7095 won't connect to PC

My son's Coby MPC7095 2GB MP3 player was charging, and the PC was shut down without disconnecting it first. Since then, he cannot turn it on (only the keypad lights up) and has to use the reset button to shut it off. When we try to connect it to the PC now, nothing happens.

Coby mp4 shuts off after about 7 mins

I had the same problems with my player i took it apart and there was a little chip connected to the battery terminal wires, i removed the little black chip which is a sensor for the batteries to prevent damage to the unit and I removed it and resoldered the wires the battery terminals and now it works perfect.

Hmm... I'm not sure if this will work but it did when mine wouldn't work. Just go to settings at the bottom and choose usb mode and select mpc, that should solve your problem

Coby mpc7095 2gb player has lots of songs on it but PC won't pick them up

I changed the settings in system tools >USB settings to MCS mode and then you can access all lthe files on your coby player through your PC and move them into the appropriate folder. It seems all your music has to go into the music folder. The Coby player isn't the most user friendly and is buggy. If they fix the programming, it would be a good competitor to ipod.
