Ok I have a logitech mouse which I've owned for about two years, and recently it started to act funny. It (the cursor) would stop moving for a moment and then it would start again in less then a second, like a dirty ball mouse. I've experienced this problem before, when my receiver is to far away from my mouse. However they were very close together when i started having these problems. Now the cursor doesn't move at all. The 'connect' button seems to do nothing, or bring up the 'new hardware' dialog. Both the receiver and the mouse appear to be fine, but the fact remains that the cursor does not move. Help anyone? Yes , similar problem. The receiver isn't receiving. How long is the life of a cordless mouse.
I had this same problem. It works fine if i use my left hand instead of right. Could there be left and right handed mouses??? Go figure!
Is the batteries good. If so try,

Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT
button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the
receiver.
If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button
on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they
should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud
3 Turn the mouse upside down to check the on/off switch. Be sure it is switched on.
