When I connect my Ipod to the USB 2.0 nothing happens.
I have a message," USB device not recognised."
I 've downloaded the drivers from itunes to interact with the device.
The USB is okay 'cos when I connect other hardware such a as digital camera it's recognised straight away and will transfer data no problem.
No discs or drivers come with the nano when you purchase it unlike other MP3 devices i've purchased..
I can't seem to be able to find any drivers to down load from the Apple website.
Connect the iPod shuffle USB cable connector into a high-power USB port on your computer.
Note: To charge an iPod shuffle battery, connect the device to a high-power USB port.
Please be aware that USB keyboards and non-powered USB hubs generally do not have high-power USB ports.
If you connect to a low or non-powered port, iPod shuffle will not charge.
The computer must be turned on and set to not go to sleep.
Plug the other end of the iPod shuffle USB Cable into the headphone port on the iPod shuffle.
Verify the iPod shuffle is connected securely.
Once the iPod shuffle is plugged in, it will take about 2 hours to charge the battery to 80% capacity and about 3 hours to charge it to 100%.
Find out how to check the battery charge here
hope this helps

My ipod nano 3rd generation is having issues. When I plug it into the USB port, it tells me that the "USB Device is not recognized". I have toggled the Hold button and held the Menu Button and the Select button as I was directed to do on the Offical Apple site, and still nothing. I have repeated the steps several times plugged into the computer and not plugged into the computer. HELP!
