Viewsonic projector Pro 8200 will not start / get out of standby mode

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Sony Triniton Wega Model KV 32HS510. After pushing the power button, the tv starts to power up, then the standby light blinks 7 times then pauses before blinking 7 times again. It continues to do this,...

This is usually an indication of a failure in the scan amplifier sections. When the scan amplifiers or high voltage sections fail, the main power supply will usually also require servicing.

It is very common that the fly-back and high voltage multiplier and also the horizontal output stage fails in these sets. Along with it, the power supply will usually require to be serviced. On rare occasions, the vertical deflection amp fails.

No Power

The first thing to check is the horizontal output transistor,it might have shorted out and opened the fuse or safety resistor that gives him power to operate, sometimes it goes bad by itself and sometimes the output transformer goes bad and takes him out too.If you are familiar with tv service you have a place to check but if you are not to familiar be safe and seek the help of a servicer.Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.
