If you enter the codes incorrectly more than 3 times, the code counter might get blocked.

Follow these 5 steps to make your Nokia C3 network free
1. Turn on the phone without any sim card
2. Enter the following sequence (#pw+unlock code+1#) on your NOKIA C3 just like a phone number*
* Characters p, w, + will appear after pressing the *(star) symbol a couple of times

1. Select Menu > Messaging > Create message and a message type.
2. In the To: field, enter the recipient's number or e-mail address (network service). To select a recipient, select Add. You can have more than one recipient.
3. In the Text: field, write your message.To insert a special character or a smiley, select Options > Insert symbol.
   To attach content to the message, scroll to the attachment bar at the bottom of the display, and select the desired type of content. The message type changes automatically to multimedia message.
   
4. Select Send.

I understand the pain and how difficult it is to work on a science document!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way if you are using the office suite applications such as Word 2007 or word 2010, you can insert the symbols easily.
To insert a symbol or special character into your document, follow these steps in Word 2007:
1. Position the cursor where you would like to insert the symbol or character
2. Open the Insert ribbon
3. Click Symbol in the Symbol section
4. A menu will appear with a small selection of symbols
5. If you don't see the symbol or character you'd like to insert, click More Symbols
6. Use the controls to select between symbols and special characters. Additional tools on the symbols tab will help you expand or narrow your selection
7. When you find your symbol or special character, click it and then click Insert
8. When you're done, click Close
The symbol or special character will appear at the appropriate place in your document.

Whenever there is a symbol to the right of a key, using the Alt Gr key pressed down and then that key tapped, brings the relevant symbol up. Also works if you want an acute accent instead of going to character map, i.e. ?, ?

You can do this....
-Start menu
-System tools
-Character Map

And you'll get everything

A better way to enter special symbols in Windows applications (such as Word), is to take advantage of the symbols in the fonts provided by Windows. For example, in Word, use the following steps:

How do I generate extended ASCII characters from the keyboard?
A: DOS will allow you to enter extended ASCII characters into many programs. Here's how you do it:

1. Make sure NumLock is enabled on your keyboard.
2. Press and hold the ALT key.
3. While holding down the ALT key, enter the 3-digit decimal code for the extended ASCII character you want to generate.
4. Release the ALT key.

If u want to type special signs(which are in blue colour )  then u need to Press CHR+Sign it  will work if u want to type other symbol  ($%^) then press SHIFT+ that key which u want to type($%$%$.)
