OK I figured the solution to this problom, Well All You Have To Do Is Have A Micro SD CARD And a DSi!
1. Plug Your Micro SD card Into Your AR ds/Dsi
2.Plug Your Ar Ds/Dsi Into Your Ds/DSi Warning: Do Not Turn On your Ds/Dsi
3. While Keeping Your AR DS/Dsi Inside your system Get your wire and plug it into your ar and Your Computer
4. Open Ar manager and It will work

My dsi action replay won't work on my dsi but it works on my ds. Why is that?

I heard that the DSi prevents the AR from working because of a kind of security system.

After you insert the AR device and turn on the system, you'll see the "Insert Game Cart" message blipping across the screen. From there you have to remove the AR device while your system is on and replace it with your desired DS game cartridge and then the "Start/GO" button will appear, fully functional and ready to operate.

Don't even bother trying to get the Code Manager to smarten up, just add and edit your desired codes manually from there on. After all newer software on the dsi when compared to the ds so datel may have to make a new AR for the dsi or.... ur AR may be bust as datel's build quality is not the best. So try the AR on older ds's if it works thn new sofware prevents it so you may have to buy a specific AR or if it dosnt work on a old ds thn u know u got a knackered up AR device.

How to install ar dsi to the computer without he disc

That's easy. use Action Replay Dsi Code manager as a download and install it that way, or find the disc itself on the internet.

My action replay wont be recognized!

make sure your usb cord is plugged in to your DSi AR and computer. **do not have the AR plugged in to the DSi.
then put the AR's CD ROM in.
you go to start menu.
type in device manager.
right click Dsi AR...
click the driver tab.
click update driver.
click browse computer.
then check the box [subfolders].
BROWSE.
find DSi CD ROM folder.
and voila! :D
it should work

Hello, i just purchased the action replay for dsi and ds light but when i try to enter codes nothing happens. Do i have to set it up somehow with the usb cord????

You have to set your USB port on your cpu to certin settings. there are some youtube videos on the subject. type in on google: AR DSi code manager cannot detect the AR DSi for (after for type in the type of cpu like xp or vista) then a youtube video should apear and then watch that and it will tell you what to do. Hope this helps

Action Replay for Nintendo DS

Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:

Prob: Two white Screens:
Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.

Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion:
Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.

Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes:
Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:

a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected)
b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware
c) Disconnect DS AR from PC
d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS
e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)

Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:

a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS.
b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option.
c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code.
d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install
e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed.
f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.
