When Safari says it can not find the server it means it can not find a good or strong enough wi-fi connection. The sever is basicaly just a wi-fi connection that you connect to. You need to find a good connection in order to get on wi-fi.

On my iPad it keeps saying safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server.

Either the website you're trying to go to isn't available, or you're not connected to the internet. Make sure you're typing the correct site, and that you are connected to Wi-Fi.

Always cannot find the srever at yahoomail

This may be due to a number of reasons:
(a) if yahoo mail is your home page & you're using wi-fi, then your browser (Internet Explorer? Safari? Mozilla Firefox?) may return the error message "Cannot find Server" when the wi-fi link has poor (or no) connectivity.
(b) the Yahoo mail server may actually be down
(c) there may be a typo in the URL (universal resource locator) you're using - even a single mistaken character will cause this error.
(d) there may be a cut in the internet between your computer
and the Yahoo mail server, but the nameserver still has the server's IP address in its table.
(e) about 1000 other reasons.

Ipod wi fi conection

Wi-Fi Functionality
  1. Connects over the last Wi-Fi network you used that's available.
  2. If no Wi-Fi networks you've used are available, iPod touch will scan for Wi-Fi networks and show a list of Wi-Fi networks in range. Tap a network and, if necessary, enter the password to join. Networks that require a password show a lock icon (307189_1.jpg) next to them.
  3. Option to manually enter your Wi-Fi network name/SSID (if the Wi-Fi network is configured not to broadcast or be displayed to the public). If necessary, enter the password to join.
When iPod touch is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon (307189_2.jpg) in the status bar at the top of the screen shows connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.
Wi-Fi Settings
  1. Turn Wi-Fi on or off.
Choose Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on or off.
  2. Set iPod touch to ask if you want to join a new Wi-Fi network.
When you are trying to access the Internet, by using Safari or YouTube for example, and you are not in range of a Wi-Fi network you have previously used, this option tells iPod touch to look for another network. iPod touch will display a list of all available Wi-Fi networks that you can choose from. Networks that require a password appear with a lock icon (307189_1.jpg).

If "Ask to Join Networks" is turned off, you must manually join a network to connect to the Internet when a previously used network is unavailable.

Choose Wi-Fi and turn "Ask to Join Networks" on or off. If you turn "Ask to Join Networks" off, you must join new networks manually.
  3. Join a Wi-Fi network manually.
Choose Wi-Fi, wait a moment as iPod touch detects networks in range, then choose a network. If necessary, enter a password and tap Join. Networks that require a password appear with a lock icon.
  4. Make iPod touch forget a network, so that the device doesn't join it automatically. Choose Wi-Fi and tap the arrow (307189_3.jpg) next to a network you've joined before. Then tap "Forget this Network."
  5. Connect to a closed Wi-Fi network (an available Wi-Fi network that isn't shown in the list of scanned networks).
Choose Wi-Fi, then tap Other and enter the network name. If the network requires a password, choose Security, tap the type of security the network uses, and enter the password. You must already know the network name, password, and security type to connect to a closed network. Some Wi-Fi networks may require you to enter or adjust additional settings, such as a client ID or static IP address. Ask the network administrator which settings to use.
  6. Adjust settings to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Choose Wi-Fi, then tap the arrow (307189_3.jpg) next to a network.

CANNOT GET SAFARI ON MY ITOUCH

I would try reseting the router if it is yours that you are trying to get on. Then make sure all the setting inside the router are set to default. you can access these by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 then admin admin. Your ipod touch should be set to default setting also (DHCP and HTTP Proxy off)

Enabling Edge

You need either GPRS enabled with your SIM card or WI-Fi enabled.
For GPRS enabling, go to Settings ->Network->EDGE->APN -type your SIM Card GPRS site address, ask your SIM provider for the details. Username-put your phone number with country code and Password-put what is there for your SIM.

For Wi-Fi enabling, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi-set it to ON and it would automatically search for nearby connections. If you find one unlocked, just select that and start using internet via SAFARI!!!
