Hi, I can't seem to get the plate off the base of the joystick, it seems to be locked, but I can't unlock it. Thanks, Kyera

 The VSI has a feature that enables you to

To lock the VSI:
 1. With the VSI switched on, press and hold the on/off key. After 1 second, the VSI should beep.
2. Release the on/off key.
3. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.
4. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.
5. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.
6. The VSI is now locked.

Sleep mode is a built-in circuit </SPAN><span>that automatically shuts off the main power if the joystick is not moved </SPAN><span>in any direction for a period of time predetermined by controller program.</SPAN><br><p><span><b>The battery condition meter lights on the keypad indicate sleep mode by </b></SPAN><span><b>blinking once every five seconds.</b> To restore power and continue, push the </SPAN><span>on/off key twice.</SPAN><br><p><span> </SPAN><br><p><b><span>Lock Mode</SPAN></B><br><p><b><span>To unlock the VSI:</SPAN></B><br><p><span>1. KitchenAid KSM150 bowl won't stay put
If the base is not holding the bowl properly then only a replacement base plate or another bowl is going to fix it. The base plate is held onto the pedestal with 3 Philips head screws.

This is taken from the owner's manual from the 1121 with a VSI controller:

Locking/Unlocking the VSI

Hi,

You have accidentally selected lock option.You need to select unlock option for the same. Press the menu button and then press right/left button to select the protect menu. Then you need to select unlock and that would turn off file protect.

Sometimes we lock our joystick by mistake.
Here is how to unlock it.
If this dosen't fix the problem you may have a bad joystick. Write me back for more info if thats the case.

My hand control is locked how do I unlock it
Hi. The answer depends on what brand of controller you have, Dynamic or VSI.
Try this.
Push on button to turn on machine.
Push the joystick to full forward until it beeps.
Pull joystick to full reverse until it beeps.
Release the joystick. There will be a long beep.
It should now be unlocked.

1992 Subaru Liberty wagon - cannot lock front passenger door.
Check the alignment with the door pin. Might be out of adjustment and will not let the door close all the way. That will cause the lock to not be operable. Good luck and have a great day.
