Hi! I've got the Nexxtech 5port 10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch Model N5PSWITCH and it got separated from the power supply. There's nothing on the switch that says what DC power to run it at- just "DC IN". Can you tell me the voltage and power requirements? Thanks! TresGeek

I have Sony Bravia KDL-46HX800 3D TV. My Ethernet connection stopped working. I can't get IP, my Sony blueray player doesn't have such problem (it is connected to the same net. switch). TV say

use a straight thru to connect directly to the router. Cross overs are typically used when connecting PC's directly together or daisy chaning routers or switches. Try a different port on the switch? Also from a pc, go to the DOS prompt and try and ping your TV. If your TV IP settings are all correct, and your network equipment is working, your should get a response from pinging your TV. If you don't, I would suspect a problem with your TV Enet port.

Move your primary Internet connection to port number 5. Although it is not mentioned in any of the documentation, Port 5 is the uplink port.

How do i install?

This device is a plug and play device and doesnt need any configuration before installation.

You need CAT6 ethernet ( copper LAN cables) to connect the switch to the other device from where you want to extend/expand your ethernet.

How to set up a Nexxtech wired router?

Hi, manny_khera This could be a bit complicated...or not? First we'd need to know the make and model of your comcast modem as it may be a "modem/router" if so, it will need to be set to bride mode before your new router can work properly - to avoid "double natting" (both devices attemting to preform the same fucntion - network address translation.)
