Water not dispensing on 6 yr old GE GSS25JFPDWW. Troubleshoot proved that water dispenses up to the point of connection under the door. When disconnected at the hub, water dispenses thru the tube when the arm is depressed. Problem appears to be the 4 feet of tubing from connector to the spout. Please help.

Most common problem would be it is frozen. Try turning the freezer down one number and wait 24 hrs.

for now you could try forcing hot water in the tube from either end, but it is a watery mess. ((( Get lots of towls ))) This is the fast method.

of course leaving the freezer door open to defrost, but you of coures will need to move the food.

or you can try a hair dryer but this can be frustrating as you dont know where it if frozen. and you cant leave the hair dryer on any spot too long as it will damage the plastic.

good luck

Water leak on floor under refrigerator

The line going into the dispenser is a 5/16 line. You'll have to remove the front of the dispenser on the door to get access to the line to unclip it. Once you have that done you can pull the line out from the bottom. At this point there are a variety of different unions, compression fittings, etc. to splice the line. After that you just feed the line back through the bottom of the door, clip it back in place, put the dispenser back together and your done.

Water dispensor stoppedworking

If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.

No water is being dispensed from the water dispenser, but the Ice maker is working. Replaced the filter and still no water. When the dispenser is depressed, you can hear a humming noise but no water...

Start by : at the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . Ge also has a dispensor heater , pt # WR49X10173 , with instructions , to keep this freezing from happening again , if this is the problem .

My water dispenser quit however I still can make ice. The filter is only 1 month old.

At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then see if the water comes out when you try the dispenser. You should hear the valve work when you try the dispenser. If you don’t hear it there is a dispenser actuator switch problem. If you do hear it but water doesn’t work here there is a valve or water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

We have an Electrolux Wave Touch with the same problem.
1 yr later, 3 new fridges, 1 new freezer door and no solution.
Yes, the line is clearly frozen inside the door.
Disconnect waterline at bottom of freezer door and activate solenoid - then you know for sure.

Water dispenser quit working on GE Profile French door 'frig.

The dispensers could be clogged with mineral deposits. If you look in your care manual it talks about a water vinegar solution that you pour into the top of the despenser, let sit, and then drain it through the back. I had a similar problem and it was because some of the water that was sitting in the top of the unit(where the gallon jug sits; under the black think) was full of frozen water which was blocking the water dispenser.

Not getting water from dispenser in door

if you can get ice but not water from the dispenser then suspect a frozen water line within the door . Check you get water to the connector at the bottom of the freezer door. Sometimes you can clear the blockage by connecting a steamer to the pipe but this will only be a temporary fix . If the pipe has frozen within 6 inches of the dispenser outlet then there is a heater mod that can be fitted WR49X10173
