Philips Senseo HD-7810 Coffee Maker Logo

Hello, Hope you guys can help me on this one: My philips senseo coffee machine blinks constantly when I turn it on as if there is no water. However, there is enough water in the tank. If I hold the tank a bit to the back than it blinks normally (heating) but as soon as I release it in its normal position, it indicates no water again. Thanks in advance

Either the little magnet in the reservoir is stuck (does it float when you slowly fill up the reservoir?), or the corresponding Reed relais doesn't properly respond to the magnets presence. The latter most likely requires technical attention.

Machine not in use for a long period of time. Concerned with remaining water inside machine

Water stays in it, true, putting the senseo upside-down for a longer period of time, might drain the boiler. Let's hope it did not freeze up.
try following: switch on Senseo, and push both One + Two cups buttons, this will drain the boiler.

Philips Senseo HD7810 /40 stops midway brewing

This lookes like a problem I experienced with another model of the Senseo. The problem here was the 470nF X-capacitor in the capacitive power supply. (230VAC models) Try replacing.

I turn the machine on and the light blinks and it will not heat the water. I have tried using a magnet to move the float, but the float is at the top.

Do you see a fast or a slow blink? If you see:
  • A fast blink: the machine has encountered some condition that prohibits it from engaging the heater element. This could be a low water level detection (the float being in the high position doesn't mean the Reed relais is also triggered!), some other malfunction or a power problem. To rule out the latter, plug the Senseo into another wall socket, preferrably another electric group.
  • A slow blink: your Senseo is feeling happy and is unaware of a problem. This may point to a defective heater element. If you do hear the rumbling noise of water being heated, it's most likely the temperature sensor - both are cases for the repair shop.

Philips senseo coffee is watery

It may be the pod holder, there is a seal under the black disc at the bottom of the holder, the water will bypass the coffee under pressure, travel to the outside of the pod holder and exit the centre where the filter mesh is,if there is no foam also this is a sure sign, fill the empty pod holder with water and see how quick the water drips,I had this same issue and bought a new pod holder and compared, should be no more than 1 drop a second, you can knock the plastic out and re seat the O ring or buy a new holder, hope this is of use to you

My philips senseo new generation won't open I suspect a vacuum-problem but don't know how to solve this can you advise me?

Eureka! I have solved this problem.
Disconnect your Senseo from the power. Take it to the sink. Hold it upside down and put hot water in the coffee outled. In less than 30 seconds the senseo will open.

The problem with Senseo is that - especially with coffee holders for 2 cups and chocolate - after making the coffee, the pod holder and the pod cool down. This creates an underpressure, that prevents you opening the Senseo. Hot water will increase the pressure and then you can open the senseo very soon.

This solution was found in despair after struggling with all the complex tool involving (knives, pumps, etc.)

Let me know if it works for you
