Left a dvd movie in player overnight - now have no audio.

Was watching a long movie last night and decided to finish watching it today - so I turned everything off. Turned TV & dvd player on and now have no audio from the player - picture is fine. Audio from TV is also OK.

What do I need to reset?

I hope you didn't buy a new dvd player! Simply unplug the power cord count to 10 replug and it will work just fine. May have to do it in the future if you turn off the player then turn it back on within a few hours. I don't know why this happens, but others told me that they have had this problem with their players, not Cyberhome brand.

Did you double check the connections from the DVD player to the TV? Maybe something happened to the connection overnight. If that dosen't seem to be the issue then the only other thing I can think of is that the Audio Encoding chip inside the player must have gone bad. The problem now is that it would cost more to repair the audio encoding chip then replace the whole player.

Sorry I couldn't help any further.

When I am playing a DVD and want to stop it over night, what button do I push on the remote?

You can just press the stop button, but make sure you keep the DVD player on overnight. In the morning just hit play and the movie should resume where you left off.

Buy a cd/dvd lens cleaner they run about $8-$10 at the store. If that doesn't work the laser is probably bad.

I found an Astar portable dvd player with only the battery charger attached months ago and nobody claimed it. I used it night before last and watched a whole movie, last night I watched a movie and it just...

Possibly you just need a new power supply/battery charger. There is nothing "magic" about the original power supply. Take the player into an electronics supply shop. They should be able to look at it and match

Speakers work only on DVD

You might have connected your TV/Stereo Receiver up to the wrong audio outputs of the DVD player. Make sure you are coming out of the FRONT left/right audio outputs and not the CENTER?REAR left/right audio outputs.

If the audio is going into the television then you have to set the audio output to 2 channel. if you are using all the supplied speakers, then the audio output should be set to 5.1 /6 CH

DVD movies do not play

A blue screen means the TV is not receiving a video signal. Check all connections, then try another player, cable, etc. Also, check DVD and TV AV settings.
