Tell us what happens when you reset the L1 with the C, Exp. Mode(Far left key), C, Exp. Mode, 14, then Print clearing method. Do this reset procedure then lift up the ADF and watch with scanner move back and forth. It should bump out and in a few times with the lamp lit. Then park back into home position.

That is the cause of your L1. There is a white reference strip under the glass where the scanner "bumps" out. It is suppose to turn on the scan lamp and reflect it off this strip so the machine can get an exposure reference. Since the lamp is not coming on the machine is assuming that the scanner is not moving. You either have a bad scan lamp or possibly a bad lamp driver board. This Is the small board located at the rear left side under the glass.

How do you adjust linkage for transfer case

SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT
(1) Shift transfer case into 4L position. (make sure your shifter is fully in the 4L position)
(2) Raise vehicle.
(3) Loosen lock bolt on adjusting trunnion (Fig.
87).
(4) Be sure linkage rod slides freely in trunnion.
Clean rod and apply spray lube if necessary.
(5) Verify that transfer case range lever is fully
engaged in 4L position. (you can do this under the vehicle at the transfer case)
(6) Tighten adjusting trunnion lock bolt.
(7) Lower vehicle

Basically, you are just ensuring that the position you put the lever inside the vehicle is the same position that the transfer case lever is in and then tightening the locking bolt.

The front seat is stock how can i move it forward?

You see that shiny rod running from one side to the other? That rod is attached to pins that lock into the notches on the seat tracks. When you pull the seat lever, the rod is supposed to retract the pins out of the notches on both seat runners so the seat can slide on the runners or tracks. Reach under and pull the pins out of the notches on both tracks to slide the seat forward. Those rods get stretched or loose or fall out of place. Sometimes a pair of pliers can be used to get the rod back into place and fixed, so it works off the seat lever.

The door handles keep sticking and then eventually break off. What is causing this to happen? We have goone thru three in the past 3 months on my daughters 1997 cutlass supreme

What you are going to need to do is take off the inside door panel and get to the inside of the door. there you will find 2 rods that connect to the latch. One is for the handle and the other is for the lock. At the latch end of the door locks check for anything that could be catching the lever and if there is nothing obstructing the movement of the lever then you probably jut will need to grease it up a little at the latch end of the door handle rod. BTW do you live in a cold climate area? if you do then it could be because the latch is getting frozen.

The FIX? Just press the following keystrokes:

Flashing 4-H error message

try this reset procedure. Most likely this will work.

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.
  1. Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
  2. Find the button below the word Auto.
  3. Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
  4. Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  5. Press the green [Start] button.
  6. Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
  7. The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
  8. If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time.
