Clhndr2, The display may have bad internal main ac to dc power supply which goes into "shutdown-mode"!! You or qualified electronics technician will need to investigate/evaluate unit to make decision on fix or trade for new. Do some reading in the fixya profiles of :budmrtn" "buddymc" "12fixlouie" and follow links you find there to understand "lcd black screen" or "lcd blank n black screen" problems and how to fix them. 12fixlouie

Problem with the monitor

hi,

first of all,try to connect the cable to other device(laptop) to see if is working, because if you receive the message"No signal" then the monitor is working but the cable/signal did not cross to the monitor, then is working with other device then try again or check if you can connect the monitor with different port if you monitor has one vga/dvi or hdmi.

I JUST BOUGHT A NEW AOC F22 MONITOR, BUT IT GOES BLACK , THE POWER IS ON YET I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING, HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

If the monitor is black either the computer is not sending signal to the monitor or the monitor is getting the signal and its broken.

1.) does the old monitor or another monitor work with the computer you have. if yes your monitor is prolly broke since there is not much to a monitor they automatically detect signal as soon as its turned on.

2.) if the monitor doesnt work the old one then your computer is the issue and it can be a lot of things can cause no video

I have a gateway FDP2275W desktop monitor. the monitor will power up and display the Gateway logo in the middle of the screen, then goes black. The monitor is still getting a signal from the computer as...

This is a common problem with many LCD monitors. The
printed circuit board that provides a stable voltage for the monitor to operate
from starts to fail. The PCB can be replaced, when/if they are available, or repaired
in most cases at a much lower cost. for more information on this email me at

My monitor is black and the power button is flashing blue, ...

If the screen is black or blank, but an error message such as No Signal displays on the screen, the problem might be related to the video signal, also check the power to the monitor, test the video connection between the computer and the monitor to make sure it is connected correctly, and connect the monitor to a different computer.

Why do I get a "No Signal" on my Acer x193w monitor?

sounds like a video card issue.  Check the screen on another computer.  If it is doing the same thing, it is the monitor.  If it doesn't, then you have a video card issue
