You are probably right. Your laptop is not playing well with others.
First check to see if your wireless adapter on your laptop is turned on.
Then click the icon that controls the wireless connections to see if you can see your network. If you can, click on the network name and see if you can log on.
Next, temporarily turn off any internet security programs you have to see if you are experiencing a firewall issue. Check to see if Windows firewall is turned on for the wireless connection. If so, turn it off until you connect.

Err connection reset

Obvious thing, but have you already tried restarting the router? Sounds like an odd problem for it to only happen with wireless that that router with that laptop. That error looks like a Google Chrome error. It may be worth seeing if you still get the error with Firefox as well.

Need security code for wi fi

There are no defaults for this, but 2 ways to go about.

A. When you have a device like an Android phone which is already able to connect to the wifi network, download WiFi Key Recovery on the Google Play store.

B. Set a new key on the router (this will affect all wireless devices connected to this wifi network)

  1. Connect your computer/ laptop with a network cable directly to your SMC router.
  2. Open your browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and type "192.168.2.1" (without quotes) in the addressbar.
  3. A password is required to login. The default is smcadmin.
  4. Open Security from the menu on the left, click Wireless.
  5. You will be able to set a new WEP or WPA key. Use WPA for better security.

Cant disalow a computer on my wifi sever and there making me lag like crazuy

If you have access to the router, you may log into its software through web browser (firefox, internet explorer, chrome, etc) then enable WEP security to allow a passcode they would need to use to connect to your router.
To find out how to log into your router software, enter the model number and the phrase "default login" into google to find instructions

Hey i have a Belkin wireless g plus mimo router. The problem i am having is : web pages won't open be it firefox Internet explorer or google chrome. P2P program ares and skype works though. any help will...

The problem you are describing is typical of Firewall issues: you can try to resolve the issue by trying the following in order: 1) Disable any firewall/anti-spyware software on your PC/Laptop (or try using a different 'working' PC or Laptop 2) Disable all firewall on your wireless router 3) Disable all firewall on your adsl/cable modem
Once you determine where the problem is, re-enable the firewalls/filters as required and add Exceptions for the appropriate IP addresses and/or Ports to enabled Web browsing (in general do not block port 80 or 8080).
Hope it helps.

Are both on same subnet?
Have you checked if an access list is installed in router firewall?
Is the Client blocked /allowed in Firewall?
Can you ping router from Client?
Did you see the router as default gateway in Client IPCONFIG?
Is Router IP address in HOST client file?
Any antivirus, firewall (like Zonealarm) software blocking some new LAN connection and requiring to unblock?
