I have an electrolux wave touch french door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. I have an issue with my ice maker that just started. Regardless of whether the "cubes" or "crushed" option is selected the dispenser sends down crushed ice.

Based off the information you are describing it sounds like your control panel is locked. Can you check to see if the control lock is lit up? If so, please hold down the control lock button for 3 seconds and it should allow you to operate the front panel. If not you could be experiencing a problem within your control panel and may need to have a professional come out to diagnose it. I hope this helps. -Matt

Simple but a pain. Unplug the refrigerator. Get out your hair dryers and start de-icing the freezer door. Slowly but surly you will get freezer open. Be gentle. Dry EVERYTHING!!! Tracks, rails.....then replace part, plug back in, restock.

The user interface is the culprit, check the dispenser switch and if t is ok replace the touch control.

It would need to be checked at the main board to see if the sensor is ok. then the wires need to be checked one by one from the sensor to the main board to see if there is a problem with a wire inside the cabinet (non repairable).

Mine does this quite often. I turn the ice maker off from the options control panel on the front and leave it off several hours if not over night. When I turn it back on using the same control panel and it works. Sometimes I will see a puddle of water on bottom of the water dispenser or inside the fridge after turning off the unit.
