Electrolux door alarm Won't stop. We open door to turn off alarm. Temp seems right but slight condensation at the very top of the fridge. Need to at least disable alarm until I can get a repair.

Check the back wall of the freezer, I would suspect the beginnings of or a full-on defrost failure... If there is frost on the back wall of the freezer it means the evaporator is blocked, disallowing airflow to the fridge compartment... Electrolux Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat 216731001 . If there is no blockage, but temps are still not cold enough, your Frigidaire may be leaking refrigerant...

The left door isn't closing with the magnet. (It isn't a rubber hinge/strip problem) It is the bumper inside at the top which isn't gliding over the stop on the door side

Try cleaning both surfaces with a bit of dish detergent on a damp sponge, to remove any sticky stuff, then apply a burst of silicone spray. That's what worked on our fridge when the freezer door became balky.

How do you get compressor running after power outage?

Hello AnnArborMom, thank you for your inquiry!

I would recommend you adjusting the temperature to a lower setting to see if that would start your compressor to cool. If that is not successful I would contact a professional to come and properly diagnose your appliance. It could be that the power outage shorted the main control board or relay. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Fix-ya

Find the water drain hole/pipe and clean it thoroughly with a pipe cleaner or other softish flexible rod. That should allow the water to drain away. Make sure back of the unit is clear and clean so water drains and evaporates off properly.

Clean heat dispersal fins

There is a good chance it is located behind a panel in the back where the compressor is located. The other location would be underneath the refrigerator behing the front grill. A vacuum and brush will do the job.

Cannot reverse door on Electrolux fridge freezer

Basically they needed to supply an additional door mount for the left hand side of the door as well as the right hand side. Problem now sorted. Poor instructions in the manual didn't help here!
