You need a VGA cable (15 pin) connected from PC (monitor out) to the PC input on the HDTV (15 pin) this is for the video. For the audio, connect from PC to HDTV, audio cable, either 3.5mm from earphone out on PC to HDTV 3.5mm audio input (next to PC VGA input) and also be sure to set PC screen resolution to compatible output for HDTV like 1024 X 768 or 600 x 800 etc.
Step 1
Connect the RGB cable to the Video Out jack on your computer.
Step 2
Plug the other end of the RGB cable into the RGB jack under PC In on the back of the television.
Step 3
Hook up one end of the audio cord to the Audio Out jack on the computer and plug the other end into the Audio jack under PC In on the back of the television.
Step 4
Turn on the television and press the "Input" button on the television or the television remote control. A list of input options will appear on the screen.
Step 5
Highlight "PC" using the up and down arrow buttons and press the "+" button to choose the computer input. The television will display whatever is on your computer.
The problem of course is not the computer since you communicate well when using the Samsung TV. The problem is your Sampo. The Video Ports are:
Composite Input (Shared w/ S-Video) RCA-pin x 2 S-Video Input (Shared w/ Composite) Mini DIN 4-pin x 2 Component Video Input RCA-pin x 2 Sets (Y/CB/CR, Y/PB/PR auto detect) DVI Input (with HDCP) DVI-D 24 pin x 1 RGB Input D-Sub 15-pin x 1
If the RGB WILL NOT COMMUNICATE, I suggest you try RCA/DVI/ or shared composite. You may need adapters, but with so many options, just try other methods.
Look for a monitor cable with 15 pin RGB plugs on each end, that will transmit the video portion of the signal so you will need an audio cable with 3.5mm plug on each end also, there are RGB cables that have the audio cable together as one big cable.
You should specify exactly which L300(D) you have as there are over 30 variations
Try this for starters.
If you have or have access to a standard standalone vga/rgb computer monitor, connect it to the 15 pin female rgb port on the rear right side of your system to determine whether the system is providing a video signal and otherwise functional before proceeding further.
You will have to select the external monitor from your keyboard's top row in combination with the function key.
In some cases, where the video display proves non-functional, the latter becomes the solution
We have to obtain video function in order to download this:
You need to change the input signal, get into the menu on your monitor and change the signal from rgb to dvi, hdmi or vga dipending on what cable you using for connection.
There is NO rgb connector on that monitor
Every laptop has at least a VGA (computer video connection) and s-video cable port. A VGA cable is preferred if you want to be able to read text on your LCD TV. Check to make sure that your LCD TV has a VGA connector. It's a port that accepts a 15-pin connection so it's pretty easy to spot if it's there. It's just like a computer monitor cable if that helps. Should be able to find it at any local retail store that carries computers. VGA or RGB cable.
there are 15 Pins in Monitor cable which is connected to VGA port on the rear side of the Tower. First, we need to reset BIOS settings, and then try again - onboard video card only. for Add-on Video card try reseating video card in diff. slot if possible / reseat video card and try again. if it does not fix it, it could be the problem with Monitor RGB Connection - near the electron gun in the monitor CRT tube. resolder RGB , it will fix it.
