Panasonic PT-61LCX65 61 inch

I replaced the lamp and the picture looks great. After five days, though, it has developed a new problem (that didn't happen before). Now it will just cut off every 5-15 minutes; the power button flashes red, the screen darkens and it goes off as though someone shut it down. I have rebooted the satellite system and changed power strips but it still cuts off after 5-15 minutes. Once I hit the "on" button it comes back with a great picture but doesn't stay on for long. Any advice???

Should I replace my lamp for my Panasonic 1080i htd t.v. pt-50LC14

Replacing a lamp won't work. There is not even one lamp in your TV. I'm afraid the lightening has done more damage than can be repaired. Even when some tech manages to repair te error, the TV can have the next error in days or weeks.
Try reading something about ESD. Electro Static Discharge and what it does to electronics. Electrostatic discharge

I have a panasonic projection TV, PT-60C13 that will not turn on. Upon pressing the power on button, the button flashes green many times, then flashes red five time then one orange flash. This red/orange...

Hi,

The most common cause of Panasonic Rear Projection LCD TVs not starting is bulb failure. The PT-60LC13 users manual gives some help in translating the LEDs on the front of the TV.

If the TV worked normally for a period of time (months or years) and won't start, the most likely cause is bulb failure. There is no way to measure the bulb, sometimes the bulb is visibly damaged when it fails. Remove the Lamp Assembly and look at the bulb.

If there was an On-Screen Lamp Replace warning and TV won't start, bulb has failed.

The first step with all Panasonic Rear Projection TV "No Picture" problems is bulb replacement. If that does not remedy the problem, get a technician, there are no user serviceable parts. Guessing if the ballast, power supply, controller board or optical engine is faulty is not practical.

The Panasonic Lamp Gallery shows all Panasonic models and Lamp Numbers. There is also a link to Panasonic DIY bulb and lamp replacement.

Panasonic PT-61DLX76-K TV, no picture, red lamp indicator flashes once every five seconds. Bulb looks okay visually. Panasonic says bad ballast I need confirmation and service manual.

Hello.
Lamp should be replaced in average every 2.5 years. Bad lamp could look OK but it is not.
Replace the lamp first if it is older than 2-3 years. You have to do it in any case. If new lamp will not
work, only then you can start thinking about ballast replacement.
If you are OK with the screwdriver and you have technical skills you don't need service manual to replace ballast. You will need to remove rear cover and locate it near the lamp. It is not too hard.
Regards.

Replace lamp flashed today, how long til i lose picture pt 50dl54

It's a timer, it counts the passing of time. The timer does not indicate the condition of the lamp. You may have a day or a year. Best advise would be to have a lamp on hand for when the lamp failure does occur.

PT-52LCX65 Lamp Meter

Hello.. meseta809

first off all it's not necessary to have the TV on to reset it. the problem is the dmd need to send the info that you have a working lamp.

try this to see if it work's

Panasonic TY-LA1000 TV Lamp Reset Procedure/instructions:
Ok, so apparently there are a couple of different ways forum members have found out how to reset their Panasonic Lamp timer (this should apply to all of them, not just the TY-LA1000 specific lamp)

“Hold the VOL down button on the TV and the SPLIT button on the REMOTE for five seconds”

Again, you will need to press the Volume button on the TV while pressing hte SPLIT button on the Remote Control for five seconds, it will NOT work if you try to do it both from your remote!

I had the same problem. Panasonic is kind of a pain about the whole thing. You have to find out who your local Panasonic repair place is, tell them there is a service bulletin and they will get on it. You must be diligent! Do not take no for an answer! If it comes down to it, and the repair shop won't do it for you, then call Panasonic and endure a loooooong wait time. Trust me though...this is the issue. Once the eeprom gets fixed/updated/whatever, the picture looks amazing! Good luck.

Picture doesn't work..Panasonic 47 inch TV PT-47WX42

Dood, if you really needed a new mother board for your TV the biggest problem on your hands would be finding the replacement.  The motherboard is so easy to remove it would make you laugh.  I think it has four clip bridges and four of five screws.  You seperate the clip bridges, take the screws off and maybe take a picture of the cables so you remember where to plug them in and you're done.  Like I said, take a snap shot so you dont forget where to put your cables back in.
