I had the same problem. Panasonic is kind of a pain about the whole thing. You have to find out who your local Panasonic repair place is, tell them there is a service bulletin and they will get on it. You must be diligent! Do not take no for an answer! If it comes down to it, and the repair shop won't do it for you, then call Panasonic and endure a loooooong wait time. Trust me though...this is the issue. Once the eeprom gets fixed/updated/whatever, the picture looks amazing! Good luck.

I have this same problem and have found out if you are within 3 years of your purchase you can have this fixed by an authorized repair facility for free. They specifically extended the warrenty for this problem. I have the green spot top left of center and a purple spot on the right side mid way down. You need to have your reciept for the purchase though.

I have a 55" Sony Wega HDTV rear projection television and it has developed purple pin size spots on the screen. It started with just one spot and quickly grew to hundreds of spots over a couple weeks....

You should do a regular cleaning maintenance to the air filter and exchange it regularly. Small dust particules may get into the internal projection module and those spots became visible.

Green spots

Good Day;

It sounds like the TV has foreign objects on the tubes, lenses or inner-screen, such as dust or bugs.l Remove screen from the front and observe.

If it were a TV problem the spots would be near the center of the picture.

Good Luck.

hi

if you see a purple spot on the picture screen, it may have been magnetized.

what you can do for that is find a demagnetizer so get rid of the purple spot.

you can purchase that at any electronics shop.

Color wrong and red spots

Sounds like CCD sensor problem . It starts with 'noisy' pictures ( colors not true and resolution deteriorates )but eventually the sensor stops outputting anything and you end up with blank screen. Have the sensor replaced and camera will work fine.
