Timer works but it appears to be in a pause mode. Pushing the pause button has no effect. It flashes a signal for pause. The instruction is lost with other instructions after a move. Nothing works, oven, popcorn, etc. Please present your suggestions.

If your Lamona electric oven is stuck in demo mode and the manual does not provide any information on how to disable it, you may try the following steps:

1. Unplug the oven from the power outlet for a few minutes and then plug it back in. This may reset the oven and remove the demo mode.
2. Press and hold the "-" button for about 10 seconds. This may disable the demo mode and activate the oven.
3. If the above steps do not work, try pressing and holding the "Function" button for about 5 seconds. This may activate or deactivate the demo mode.
4. If none of the above steps work, contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for assistance.

On most GE microwaves the Timer function can be cleared by simply pressing the Clear button once or twice. On some models pressing and holding the Clear or Timer buttons will clear the function.

try resetting the clock. If it is digital, push the clock button and then the number buttons untill you have the proper time displayed...then push the clock button again. If your clock and timer are manual, try pushing in the clock lever and turning it 1/4 turn. If this works it would indicate that your timer has a start and finish time and that the oven is not working because the clock has rotated around to the finish time.

Try pushing / stop reset first. The setting the time by pushing clock button .... punch in the time and push the clock button again. Just respond here if that does not work. 88-8888 is what you get after your first plug it in. Sometimes you will get PF if you unplug it and plug it back in. If that appears push stop / reset / clear. (Same button)

I'm not sure what you mean by "everything works". do you mean that all the lights and the timer work. Could it be in the timer or clock mode? Try pushing the timerand cancel buttons together.
Try changing the time using the clock function.

I believe your model has a child lockout. Please check your manual for instructions on unlocking this function.

Is it hardwired or plugged in? If it is plugged in you can try a power reset, by unplugging it, waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in. It is completely unsafe to try to work on a hardwired Microwave.

Operating functions:
To set the clock, press and hold the clock/timer button for three seconds. A clock icon will appear on the left side of the screen. Input the time using the numerical buttons and then click the clock/timer button to save the time.
To set the timer, press and release the clock/timer button so that the display shows all zeroes. Enter the desired time using the keypad. Press start/stop to start the countdown. The countdown may be paused by pressing the stop/start button and resumed by pressing the same button again.
When countdown is complete, timer will beep continuously for thirty seconds and display will flash. Timer will then beep every ten seconds for ten minutes until the stop/start button is pressed.
This timer will also time up to time activities. To start count up, press clear/memory so timer reads all zeroes. Press stop/start and a plus sign will appear on the right side of the screen as the timer begins counting up.

Try pushing the off/cancel button. It may be that your microwave somehow got into the test mode for the key pad.

If the model number you have this question listed under is correct, the demo mode is turned on/off by pushing the Timer/Clock button 4 times.
