Is this projector compatible with a toshiba lap top and if so is there a certain cord that is needed to hook it up to my toshiba?

To reset the lamp hour of Toshiba TLP791, do the following.
1. Turn-off the device by pressing the "ON/STANDBY" and unplug the power cord.

2. In the meantime, hold down buttons "ON/STANDBY", "MENU" and "INPUT and plug-in the power cord .

3. The lamp operation counter will automatically turn to zero.

4. Check if the lettering "0H" appears on the lamp operation counter in the status display.

5. After the lamp operation counter has turned to zero, turn off the projector by pressing "ON/STANDBY" and unplug the device.
The lamp reset procedure is over.

The Vivitek D825MS Projector does not have any speakers of its own. You have to use an outside source for sound. Another set of speakers connected to the laptop might help, or if you have access to a plug in through a stereo or mixer to take the sound from your computer to the speakers hooked up to the stereo or mixer, that is ideal.

check the connector or just insert first the projector then open the laptop..

Use a standard "video cable" that is used to connect a desktop to a monitor. Your lap-top will also have a similar video out - this is a blue colored outlet jack on your ap-top with three rows of 5-pin holes. The BenQ also has a similar blue receptor jack almost next to the place where you plug in the mains power cable on the rear of the unit.

Click the 2 box on the display settings and put a check mark ano the box that is say to extend the view on to this monitor. Hope this Helps.

The projector probably has a user manual, right? Have you followed the steps in connecting pc with projector? You might have missed a setting or something and need to re-check it.

try function key with f4 or f5 or f6 or f7.

You can use ur friend's software if it's compatible with the configuration of system. If it is not compatible then visit the internet to download the software so as to install it on your system. About the Key.. u can minimise the setup to browse the CD for the product key.
