What codec do i need for my kodak easy share m530 to work with windows live movie maker or is there a movie maker that i can download that will work.

Kodak M530 records video in MOV format which Windows Movie Maker doesn't recognize. Convert the Kodak mov video to avi, wmv format so that it can be played.
You need to download Kodak EasyShare to windows movie maker converter and install it on your PC. Go to www.kodak-easyshare.net for free download.

There are also other freeware convertors. But you may be chasing the wind if pursuing an applicable codec; you might enquire with Kodak but the above information is a quicker path to a result you can live with.

Movie maker software vary in features and ability and range from home movie editing to professional editing. Here are some: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_editing_software

I recommend focusing on the task with what you have rather than facing similar problems with alternative software.

Importing Video from camera to WMM

You can always search for a video converter for your camera. As far as I was aware, video files are in a AVI format which should be able to play with quicktime player, VLC media player or even windows media player as long as you have windows codec pack or vista codec pack downloaded.

What codec do I download for kodak zoom digital camera C813

Hi,
You might have received a CD along with your Kodak Purchase.. There should be a movie player that Kodak provides along with its camera, try installing that software and that should resolve the issue.
Please let me know if that helps :)

Video downloads, but no picture, just sound

Your computer cannot decode MPEG-4 video format. Try to play it in Windows Media Player (this should find and install required codec automatically if connected to internet) or install Kodak Easyshare Software CD (supplied with camera) - should install required video codecs too. You can try to download and install codecs on your own from here.
