I just purchased and installed a Hunter Windspan. When I wired in the remote, the device would not work at all, no fan, no lights. When I wire the fan directly, it works perfectly. I have checked all of the transmitter wire connections (3 times) and they are correct and tight. Any ideas? Is it just a bad transmitter?

How can I replace the receiver on hunter tribeca ceiling fan

The black & white on one end go to the house wiring. The other three go to the fan wiring. Black to black, white to white & connect last two wires together.

Dimmer isn't working nor the home shield light setting

I would double check the wiring of the fan. Is the remote an add-on that was purchased separately, and did it include a receiver unit which is installed in the fan housing? If so, I would double check the wiring of the receiver unit.

Lights come on at random .has a remote how to fix ?

The fan remote control receiver used in the Hunter 25730 model fan (see picture) is not available from Hunter. Remove the fan from the ceiling. Remove the receiver and take it to recycling. It can be replaced using a readily available and inexpensive replacement universal remote and receiver controller. There are limitations though. The Hunter receiver provided fan reversing functions. The universal controllers do not. You therefore have two options.

Option 1: The universal receiver can be installed such that the fan direction is fixed, either up or down, all other functions operate normally.

Option 2: A reversing switch can be purchased from Radio Shack for about $4 and installed in the fan. This does require cutting a square hole and drilling two bolt or rivet holes in the side of the cylindrical housing which previously housed the Hunter receiver. I'd suggest the Radio Shack DPDT slide switch part number 275-403.

Refer to the wiring diagrams and connector pinout diagram for connections. Please note that the connector pinout diagram is the connector that is soldered to the circuit board as shown in the photo of the Hunter receiver. If your motor wire colors are different then with the connector unplugged from the receiver use a multimeter to probe all the motor wires in order to identify two pairs of wires that indicate approximately 70 ohms each pair. These will be the motor windings. 6b0a1409-5a20-4efe-a059-c600652e9512.jpg 5da8e4ef-1b54-40d0-a8a4-21d4608b1d23.jpg 9fc8772d-3ac3-41b7-aa55-78ccc6e5ea00.jpg 0759e340-6464-4c4b-90f5-6d9926e74e42.jpg

Newly installed Hunter remote will work light and fan if only 2 of the 3 bulbs are installed.

Did you install the correct wattage? If you put in 2-60 watt try 3-40 watt instead .

Problem with hunter ceiling fan 23272

The problem is with the remote receiver attached to the fan body. It is a small device that acts as a remote switch and this is cradled in a pocket inside the ceiling fan itself. If you are handy, you can replace this device yourself. I believe you need to purchase a new kit from Lowes that comes with a matched transmitter and receiver for fan control. Go to Lowes Lighting section for this product.

The problem is not your remote on the fan. It is the light kit. We have the same problem and our electrician diagnosed it as the light kit. This problem started just out of warranty, of course, and we are now purchasing a new light kit to fix the problem.

Fan with remote won't work with wall switch. I

I just recently purchased a hunter ceiling fan w/light and remote. Had it installed and wall switch would not work, only remote. I contacted Hunter company directly about this problem and I was told that they redesigned their fans with remotes so that only the remote works for turning off power to fan. The person who made that made that BRILLIANT change should be fired. So to those of you who own a newer hunter an product with a remote ne your wall switch will not work tat s te reason why.

Installed new hunter westminster and the lights work but no fan. and how do i get my hunter remote to work with fan?

begin by unscrewing one wire nut at a time to be sure that the wires are tightly twisted together before the wire nut is reinstlled. Once you have the fan working manually, the remote will also work.
