What computer models was this MB used in?

This MB is used mostly in Pentium 4 (P4) PC model.
however, I don't know which particular brand. My PC is an IBM P4 2.4GB. Since the original MB got busted, it was replaced with ASUS P4S800-MX., and it works just
fine.

Windows 98 on P4 DC

Hi there

No ways , first of all Windows 98 doesn't recognise sata drives and will not boot even from a sata dvd writer, there are no drivers for Windows 98 to display correctly and you will have trouble running Windows 98 above 256 MB RAM

PC wont boot, not even to bios

Maybe the mobo is shot for u and he has his PSU shot.......Check for any burnt smells from the mobo. See if the cable from the PSU is properly connected to the mobo. Try removing all drives like graphics cards, RAMS one by one and see if it works.

What problem is it that you are having?
If you want to upgrade you're CPU here is the Asus link for supported CPU's P4S800-MX motherboard.
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P4S800-MX
To the right of the list is the bios file that must be used to support the CPU.

If you need instruction on how to replace a CPU just let me know.
