The car radio code is indicated on many philips models on a small white sticker inside the glove box. The unlock code will be labeled "Anti-theft radio code".
i stole this from old post, i cant find it either with out paying
I have a vauxhall vectra
I got a security code for the radio 7980, but every time I try it it does not work.
I finally got the radio out and the info is on a sticker on top
Philips
No:09 181 229
Type: CCR 600
W8S made in germany
bar code serial numbers: 9022 214 06759 01 and 003 0020 1226672
the serial punched in is GM0600Y1226672
You must contact the car manufacturer yourself and give them serial number and they will help you out. Only you can do this because they check to see if you are actual owner
First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere
within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be
removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the
code on the casing ) .
If not then POST A NEW QUESTION
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on
ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the
Serial Number
Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a
Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip
(EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
Turn on the ignition, turn the radio off fully. (by preeing the volume wheel knob) press AS or the button that turns it to CD mode (should have circle on button)keep it pressed and turn radio on. wait for a beep then it should be somthing like:
10----------- (10 being the number of tries left) use buttons 1,2,3 & 4 to input your code. press the button more than once for it to rise higher.
Hope this helped. BTW i got the same problem with my dads astra. but i dont even know the code :(
