Verify the water supply to the valve first, second verify valve to icemaker works(unit has dual valve at rear bottom of fridge, switch plugs, then press water dispenser and see if icemaker fill with water ) if fills icemaker is bad , if not valve is bad. replace one or the other.

Ice maker has stopped making ice. It has done this before and I seem to recall it was a fairly simple fix with a new part necessary. I can't however remember what I did to fix it.

Verified water supply to the valve, verified valve to icemaker works(unit has dual valve at rear bottom of fridge): I switched plugs, pressed water dispenser and water ran through line. HOWEVER the water flow appeared to be low, but there was pressure (put thumb over end). As I was removing the icemaker the unit heater coil was hot. Couple questions. #1- Can a low water flow thru value cause icemaker NOT to trigger filling? #2- Or is icemaker bad because it isn't triggering the value to open and fill with water? thx
