Hello i have a windows xp that are installed in an ide drive.but I am attempting to install a SATA samsung hd 250 G in a Abit VT7 A floppy disk came with the vt7 that had the drivers for the SATA...

XP can't be installed in SATA drives because it doesn't have a generic driver for them. Begin the install and during the procedure you will be asked to press F6 to install extra drivers - do just that with the driver that came on a floppy.

Hi, the motherboard is unable the find sata hdds, there is no such option in the bios, neither xp and 7 is unable to locate the hdd

Boot up into your Bios and make sure your SATA is enabled and set, then save. Make sure your primary drive is on SATA 0 and your second is SATA 1, I tend to start my optical drives at SATA 5 and work my way down to avoid changing ports on an upgrade. Also make sure your using \hard disks complient with your SATA controlers version.

ABit AX78 windows 7 sound driver

Windows 7 just recently went into RC1 status. It is unlikely that Abit, as well as other PC hardware manufacturer's, will have drivers available this soon after the RC1 launch. You may be able to get away with using the Vista versions of the drivers but this seems to be hit-or-miss.

The above link is to Realtek's direct download site for their HD Drivers. As you can see from the list, there are no Win7 drivers available.
