White film on dishes and interior

I had culligan check water softener, and it is ok. Culligan guy recommended against jet dry product, which I have been using. Have not changed detergent in a while, but problem just appeared suddenly. Water is definitely hot enough.

I am trying a cup of vinegar in an empty load right now to see how that works.

Any recommended/preferred detergent products?

Thanks

White streaking is caused by too much rinse agent. (jet dry) Most all dishwashers now have adjustable rinse agent dispensers, so you can set them to a lower setting when you have soft water, and a higher setting if you have harder water. The adjustment is generally right where you add the jet dry. Other possiblilities would be a leaking jet dry cap, or a defective jet dry dispenser.

Mark 49 Culligan softener what timer settings do I need to refill brine tank.

To set the timer on a Mark 49 Culligan water softener to refill the brine tank, you will need to consult the user manual for specific instructions. The manual will provide information on how to set the timer to control the frequency of regeneration cycles, as well as the amount of salt that is added to the brine tank during each cycle. If you no longer have the manual, you can contact Culligan or check their website for a downloadable copy. If the brine tank is not refilling enough after cleaning, it is possible that the brine tank float may be stuck or damaged, or the water level in the brine tank may be set too low.
