My travelmate 4000 has been infected with a viirus. I want to re enstall window but i dont know how as i'ts on the comuter..is there a way

Restore your data first, then format the disk and then do the fresh installation of the operating system make sure that each partition of the disk is formated properly then install the antivirus software, before transfering your data into your system check your backup disk is properly disinfected and scaned fron the antivirus application loaded on the system

You will need a Windows CD, which i think came with your laptop. Insert the CD and follow the instructions on-screen.

Travelmate 4000 memory upgrade

Usually the system board will have problems with the 533 Mhz. You will get errors and/or may not come up at all.

Restart poblem

hello.

comuter restart automatically due to;

1. hardware and software conflict
2. virus infection
3. corrupted system file

solution;

1. remove the hard drive and attache to the othe PC and then scan it for viruses. if not resolve.
2. Insert installation disk and reinstall the operating system( note; after installation dont forget to install the drivers) if still persist
3. try refix the memory and test the power supply for shorted.
