I have turned off my iPad after Facebook would not come on. That didn't solve the problem. I also checked my settings and everything seems to be fine there.

According to Apple, the iPad might not automatically rejoin known WiFi networks using third-party routers that are dual-band capable (802.11 b/g and 802.11 n) when each band’s network uses the same name or use different security settings.
Apple’s recommendation? Try creating separate network names for each separate band’s network (ie: add a G to the end of the name of the 802.11 b/g band) and making sure both bands’ networks use the same security settings.

Sorry, but I don't know what that means or how to do it.

I'm assuming you excluded the issues desribed in other posts (with being connected to the wrong network) and you actually have a hardware issue. You can always take it to the apple store and demonstrate the problem there, you'll probably receive a replacement. If you have issues with the warranty, there are third party places that will find our what's wrong. If you want to do it yourself, the good news is, it's not too hard to open it. Here is an iPad Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPad. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair NYC.

Thanks very much. I think I will go to iPad Repair

The only thing i can think of is maybe the router? what brand are you using, how old is the router? what is the router model number? what security are you running on the router? also the band which was mentioned earlier. Post a little bit more information and i can give you some more suggestions.
Thanks
Steven.

Hi There

Well I don't have the Ipad (yet) but what you are describing here seems like a problem with either the software (which a simple update by Apple will solve this) but if it's a hardware problem then I don't think you'll be able to solve it, in this case you'll have to use the 3g all the time (except the time you are next to the router).

in any case it seems to be a common complaint from the Ipad users

So I guess soon we will see a comment by Apple on the matter.

How to connect to internet doesnt recognize router password

Are you sure of Wifi password is correct?
if so, 1st; try restarting your ipad by holding down power/sleep button untill it show "Slide to shut down" leave it off for 10 seconds & then re-open it.enter the Wifi -password, sometimes this step works.

2nd solution ; try resetting your iPad network settings, it will not affect your ipad in any thing except it will forget all entered passwords for any wifi you have already connected before. go to General from Setting, choose resett, and inside only reset network setting, shut down ipad & try to connect to the wifi again. Hope this solution work for you. Also you may try shutting down & opening your router again after 10 seconds while off. Good Luck.

I have purchased the iPad Air 2 and I have the Net Gear A6300 plus

The process is fairly simple.
  • Choose the setting app on your iPad (the one with the gear icon).
  • Choose Wi-Fi
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi setting slider is green (on).
  • click on your network name under "CHOOSE A NETWORK"
  • enter your password (if necessary) for that network
Your network information will be saved and you will never have to enter that information again.

If you don't see your network, check to see if your router is working, and move closer to your wireless router to complete the settings

If you don't receive a wifi signal where you use your iPad, you might reposition your router, or move your iPad closer, or get a wifi repeater (like an Apple Airport Express) to extend your signal.

My iPad is asking for password for NetGear 95 I don't know it

Is the Netgear 95 your wifi router? If it is go to settings/wifi click in the Netgear 95 then click the little "i" on the right for more options. If you have an option to "forget this" click it. Do a hard reboot of your iPad (holding down home and lock button) till it restarts. Once it powers up go back to setting/wifi and try again to connect. That's how I got it to work on my iPhone and iPad when encountering the issue.

If that doesn't work restart your router. Last resort is to change the password but again I've never had to do that. The steps above usually did the trick.

there were some random wifi issues with ipads early on but the most recent updates through itunes have corrected those. So best thing would be to connect to your computer and make sure its updated. if that doesn't work, may be a range issue, they dont have the longest reception.
