Or start here => For the SMTP server, use host "smtp-server.nc.rr.com", change the default port from 587 to port 25 (in coming pop server should be 110 by default). Your iPad is in restore mode. If you boot the device while holding the home button, it will boot into restore mode for a clean firmware install or a restore from backup.
you can either hard reset the device by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons down simultaneously for 8 seconds, tether it to a computer and complete the restore, or just leave it alone for about 20 minutes and the restore timeout wll kick it back into normal operation as long as there is a good firmware install present
