MY TV TUNER IS NOT WORKING.EVERY TIME I CLICK MYGIC TV LOGO ON MY LAPTOP SCREEN.A PROMPT APPEARS 'INITIALIZED TV CARD FAILED'. WHAT DO I DO?PLZ HELP ME.I M SO STUCK.

TV tuner cards allow you to view programming on a computer system. Although desktop computers allow you to install internal TV tuner cards, laptop systems do not have the available space for internal cards. Because of this, laptop computers have PCI express card slots. This slot allows you to install and remove (at your will) additional hardware, such as TV tuner cards.

• TV tuner card
• Driver installation CD
• Software installation

1. Locate the PCI express card slot (located on the side of your computer opposite the disc drive). Push in on the protective cover on the slot to unlock it from the case. It pops out slightly, allowing you to remove the card.
2. Slide in the TV tuner into the PCI express card slot. The card clicks into place and a light blinks on when the card has connected successfully to the laptop computer.
3. Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer. Momentarily a driver installation wizard appears on the screen. Click "Next" on the welcome page, then accept the given license agreement. Choose "Next" two more times, then select "Install" and the drivers from the driver installation CD install onto the computer.
4. Eject the driver installation CD and insert the software installation CD. This is the program you use to view the connected receiver. As with the driver installation CD, wait for the installation wizard to load up onto the screen. Accept the license agreement, leave the installation name and location blank, then click "Install" to install the software.
5. Restart the computer. Upon restart the laptop is ready to begin using the TV tuner card.
   

Try restoring your system bios to factory default and this may fix your problem. If not- post again with results and we'll go from there.

Entering System Setup

Turn on your computer.

When the blue DELL logo is displayed watch for the F2 prompt to appear (black screen / white text).

Once this F2 prompt appears, immdiately press F2 .

The F2 prompt indicates that the keyboard has initialized and is detected. This prompt can appear very quickly. Watch for it to display as the screen powers up, and then press F2. If you press F2 before you are prompted, this keystroke will be lost. There is a small window of time to do this before Windows starts.
If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop. Then, shut down your computer and try again to enter setup. At setup check your bios version. It may need to be flashed (upgraded). Select load factory defaults to see if that will resolve your PCI issues.

Try installing this software and see what you get. It comes from the manufacturer of your card.

i have tech com usb2.0 laptop tv tuner model ssd-tv-813 when i install and try to open its says could not initialize the capture device please help from where i have to find capture divice for tech com usb2.0 laptop tv tuner model ssd-tv-813. i install tvbox divice card it works but tv images could not capture.when i scan it also nothing appears on screen.i keep the setting in CATV form too.

be sure to load the correct driver for it- try reinstalling the driver

It could be a problem with the drivers for the tv tuner card....
Pls uninstall the drivers and then reeat the tv tuner card and then reinstall the drivers for the tv tuner card.
Restart the computer after renstalling the drivers and check if it works.
