Failed to initialise hardware

Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture Cardr I installed the hardware, no sound was coming, neither did the
remote work. After I troubleshot following the
guide on the official website of sabrent, I successfully solved the sound problem by reinstall the
driver.

However the remote still
does not work. I installed the remote driver, there is a icon on the taskbar :
"SAA7130 TVcard Remote control receiver".



I also made sure the
batteries are good, the sensor are installed correctly, but still couldn't solve
the problem,

Try installing this software and see what you get. It comes from the manufacturer of your card.

use the remote control that comes with the tv tuner package. click fm. wait to initialize then presto...fm it is! Just choose ur channel and enjoy.

this is only a wild guess, change the battery of your remote, i once use a tv tunner and the only problem is the battery from the remote

check on line, they may have a updated version of the driver.

Try going into uninstall programs and find media center.
Highlight media center and click on repair.
See if this helps.
Your might also look in your device manager thats located in your control panel and see if there are any problems there.

OK I think your problem may be that you need to install/reinstall the drivers.
Does it show up in Device Manager? If so, Uninstall it, reboot and then reinstall the drivers when, if? XP detects it and asks for drivers.
Hopefully this will sort it. If not, then maybe ya card is faulty.
