Pioneer avic 700bt

The Avic F700BT does not have a DVD player, it only has a CD player. If you want DVD capabilities you need the Avic F900BT.

AVIC-F700BT won't work after dealer did some work on it

Have you tried updating the firmware? A new version is available from the Pioneer website. You will need a blank, formatted SD card. Unzip the files from the Pioneer download and copy to the SD card. With the key out of the ignition put the SD card into the unit. Put the key in the ignition and turn to position I to turn on the F700BT. The update takes around 10-15 minutes. Ensure that no unnecessary electrical accessories are on in order to save battery life.

If that fails you may wish to check out www.avic411.com.

Avic-f700Bt doesn't play DVD's

The AVIC-F700BT was not designed to play DVD's. If you wanted that capability you should have purchased the AVIC-F900BT. You can play video on the AVIC-F700BT from your iPod or USB Drive or SD Card or even from one of the AV inputs (mini jack on front or RCA's on the rear of the unit).

AVIC F700BT I PLUG MY IPOD IN AND IT DOESNT WORK

Check on the iPod that there is nothing (even as small as a fingernail clipping) blocking the connector.

Check that the connector on the cable is not blocked and that all the small metal pins are straight.

Try updating the iPod software through iTunes.

Pioneer Avic-F700BT worked perfectly fine for 7 months but....

Hello!
My pos just did this today after I got in a hot car (had windows up for security).
Symptoms:
Briefly displayed the PIONEER default splash screen, LED lighting was the default ... light/bright pink (to match pioneer?).
Then screen goes black, then backlight gets fully dimmed and LED dims to darks white (R,01G,01B01)

Wouldn't really respond to anything... but plays CD in background.

I had a brainstorm while sitting in my car at ACC (ignition) and reading the lame online TS guide.
I turned my car to ON and put the gear shift in REVERSE.
The screen flashed to the password, and flashed black again....
Some how the system stablelized after some time and I resurrected it*.

* After tinkering I found ALL settings except the NAV data/settings had been lost.
In addition I believe corruption has occured in the memory holding the voice data. TTS... that phone thing voice command wont display when i press down on the Multi-nav? dial. Also system crashes when I try to access language settings. Sometimes a Windows CE error message bled thru reporting a fatal application error. Illegal operation request...

Hope this helps. I think my POS is going back to cartoys before my 30days is up.
Pity

I have a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT. For whatever reason, my Blackberry isn't allowing me to transfer my phone book to the contacts list. I wouldn't care that much, but it won't let me enter contacts manually...

No I haven't received a solution. Your "expert" was a complete waste of time and just quit responding to me. I will not be paying for this service. Do not charge my credit card!!!!!!

Gps map upgrades / updates

The site www.avic411.com is probably the best place to find information on this.

Firmware for the F700BT is available on the pioneer website.

Software for the PC to be able to create POI's (Points of Interest) is also available from Pioneer.
