Have you tried updating the firmware? A new version is available from the Pioneer website. You will need a blank, formatted SD card. Unzip the files from the Pioneer download and copy to the SD card. With the key out of the ignition put the SD card into the unit. Put the key in the ignition and turn to position I to turn on the F700BT. The update takes around 10-15 minutes. Ensure that no unnecessary electrical accessories are on in order to save battery life.
The AVIC-F700BT was not designed to play DVD's. If you wanted that capability you should have purchased the AVIC-F900BT. You can play video on the AVIC-F700BT from your iPod or USB Drive or SD Card or even from one of the AV inputs (mini jack on front or RCA's on the rear of the unit).
Try plugging the bus cable into the other port on the XM module. If you have it in the wrong one, you can control it, see channel names but get no sound.
