Static crackle on yamaha 6030 in 5.1 ..static dissapears if you switch to two channel. coming from bell hd pvr...and sony ps3. with ps3 i have to select audio from dvd or blu ray menu and then 5.1 and static goes away. Its like the amp is not auto detecting properly. Have tried a new set of speakers, new wire, new optical cable, trouble shot bell receiver, went through tried every setting in receiver. Tried with only 1 speaker hooked up and new 5 ft speaker wire...static still there. It goes away sparodicaly as i flip through bell channels...and then comes back if you turn the amp off then on...you have to cycle through a dozen channels and then it seems to settle down at some unknow point....am so frustrated....

I have this exact same problems. It depends on the signal format somehow I've noticed. It's extremely frustrating. I'm wondering if we just got a bad 5.1 processor?

It might be a bad connection then. First try and swithch it to a different outlet and settings. If it does not work it mightn have to be fixed then.

Where do I get a digital tuner and how do I attach it?

There are many choices these days, but the digital tuner box would normally come from the company that supplies your cable signal. The digital tuner usually includes a PVR (personal video recorder). As long as you television is modern, connection will be via an HDMI Cable which comes with the box.

Bell PVR recordings to flash drive..will it play on a media player?

Greetings from Toronto! Also a Bell Fibe and Internet customer.

Try it, but USB Ports on such devices are there to update firmware or for an engineer to connect a laptop. having said that, all this says "yes you can".

On your Bell Satellite TV remote control, press menu. Scroll to and select Multimedia. Scroll to and select External Hard Drive. Scroll to and select Archive recordings.

I have a yamaha RX-V461B AV receiver. I cannot get the the right front speaker channel to work. All the surround and center speakers work. Even when I run the speaker test, no static comes out from that...

There is no setting that would choose one front speaker to work differently than the other. The amp or something in the audio path within the receiver is failing.

Htr 6030 crackling sound when using dynamic range standard or max

The manual (on page 47) says the settings are only effective when decoding Dolby Digital or DTS source signals. Does that conflict with your symptoms or match them?

Hooking up multiple components to HTR 6030

Once you have installed all the cables to the system, you will need to go in to the Yamaha's system settings (see owner's manual) and assign the audio inputs accordingly. The DVD input will need to be set to the optical input # you have selected. Optical and digital coax are not preset in most cases. Once you get to the input selection assign the digital # for DVD and then exit out. You should begin to hear the audio immediately. If not you missed a step. I do this for a living and every unit has its own routine you need to learn.  Enjoy the system Rob

This could mean that ur hard drive has failed, this is a a very common problem for hard disc video recorders (PVR).

If you have the confidence, open ur PS3 extract the HD and connect it to a pc to do diagnostics on the HD
