Nikon S210 pictures always out of focus

The vast majority of pictures taken with our Nikon S210 end up out of focus. It doesn't seem to matter whether the flash is on or off. Action or still shot. Close-up or far way. Very frustrating.

Is the lens clean? Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and giving the camera a chance to lock in the focus (it will beep) before pressing the rest of the way? Do you actually move while pressing the button? Try taking a few pics while the camera is on a tripod or a firm surface to eliminate movement.

Red focus light never turns green and pictures are not clear/focused - what it the problem?

The focus motor is not adjusting the lens to focus - the gear may have broken or slipped off the motor or the motor itself is bad. It will need to be taken apart to fix.

NIKON Coolplix S210 can't take photo in flash mode

If the flash is on and you can't take photos, it could be that the flash circuit has gone bad. Make sure the camera is focused first though, before you try to take the pictures. Many times if the camera can't focus on something, it wont take a picture.

Two sets of photos?

I was having similar issues. My memory card was ejecting itself unkowingly. So some of your pictures are on camera memory (fills up fast) and some are on the memory card. My card was randomly ejecting with the door closed. So you never know if you are taking shots on camera of disk memory. You also seem to be missing phots when reviewing because the card is out of place. I am sending my camera to Nikon today.
