Acer orbi cam

I have got msg on screen" acer orbi cam has stopped working" Go on line and solve this on line. So i did my best but
up to now it wasn't work. Before it was nice. I have had purchased less then 4 month. Pls help me to sort out this.


Have had my computer since 12/07 orbicam worked when I first bought it, now it doesn't . Is there anyway to fix this?

I really have problem with acer orbicam because i did make mistake to uninstall which i idid not pay attention when i click . so i want install for this orbicam that i need reinstall back again.. so tell me how to do install?? is there anything can do it to fix and install orbicam back up?

P.S i bought acer laptop last january 26th and it was been nice but now i made mistake to uninstall and i am disappointed in myself..

Hi,
I think ur laptop webcam driver not installed properly.If ur laptop have windows vista operating system then do these steps.
Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager.In that recovery manager,click on next.Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times.Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button.After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it.
If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it. If u doesnt have webcam drivers then u go for nearest service centre and install it.

and installed it again.
FYI, if you don't have the application, you can download from acer website; www.acerpanam.com
There are 3 type of orbicam (bison, suyin and logitech).
i don't know which one is yours, you can try 1 by 1.
make sure you uninstalled when you want to installed another orbicam application.

tell me about it, it seems to be an inherrent fault with this model, this sometimes works though.

swivel the camera around to face the rear of the notebook (making sure you turn it the right way) and turn it back again, now try to run the camera again, keep clicking the icon to start the cam and eventually it comes on.

Acer Orbi Cam...yes, there have been many problems with this little cam, but below is the URL for you to copy and paste, then choose the driver......Orbi Cam

Then choose driver downloads
Choose your make and model, it will take you to the driver download pull down menu, choose your Operating system , either XP or Vista, then choose the Orbi Cam option. Download the driver, and install...
Reboot your computer and try your Orbi..

and download the 'webcam_bison_v5.0.0.10f

unzip the file and then run the exe file and put a shortcut to this on your desktop instead of orbicam and it does the same job.

also..if you are having msn problems there is a ungrade to acer esecurity which seems to help

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering technology Acer E-recovery - choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say extracting) - once extracted - click Install - click Vista on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the right side of the screen, click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions.

** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.
