Hi xx

It sure does sound like a battery. If it is more than 12 months old, and regularly charged(daily) , then it will need replacement.

Graeme

My battery wont charge

I use mine almost exclusively plugged in. You can "cook" a battery this way. Think of batteries as having only so many recharge cycles. Like the turn signals on your car will eventually come to the end of it's life, so don't sit through a red light with it blinking for three minutes before you get a green light and make your turn, I turn mine on just before the light turns green. I also take my battery out about every third day and run it only on the AC adapter, giving the battery a rest.

Mac Ibook Power supply problem

On Mac iBooks the orange light comes on when it charges the battery. Once the battery is charged it turns green. Im guessing the other powersupply was aftermarket or broken. EIther way, if it starts out green - recognizes the battery isnt full - turns orange for a while - then turns green when the battery is full, then the computer and powersupply are working perfectly. Enjoy your iBook!

Charging indicator stays red

Hmmm...is the USB cable plugged in to a powered PC? Could be cable or battery issue. Red light means that the battery is very low on juice. Return it to where you got it from if you can't solve it on your own.

HELP!!!

I think the battery may be fully dead, test it with a meter, and if it wont charge through the device, take it out, find a charger with a similar output and jam the wires into the correct terminals on the battery (+to+) it'll get red hot but you need only do it once. (I've done it to my psp battery and it worked fine) careful though, don't leave it on overnight or unattended.

Ipaq rx3115 frozen

Red LED light means a major problem at the charging of the battery.

You have several options to repair it:

1. Leave several hours the PDA with not battery and unplugged from the AC power adapter, then put the battery and leave charging it.

It's more likely that the red light will appears again, but leave plugged it. Sometimes will start charging and blinking with orange color after 30 minutes or so. After that, it will work normally.

2. Use other good working battery to test it.

3. If the above two steps fail, then there is a good chance that the mainboard has a problem, and needs to be fixed or replaced.
