The gas valve may be leaking gas out where it should not be leaking gas out. You may need a new gas valve. This could be a safety issue, not just with a fire, but a potential fire gas explosion. Please get it fixed ASAP.
Hi there.
Try to check and clean if needed the fire tubes, soot may have build up inside blocking the flame path. Soot build up on fire tubes and burners are caused primarily by low gas pressure, assuming that the orifice size are correct with respect to the type of gas used.
Regards.
Hi there.
Check the gas pressure; low gas pressure results in low oil recovery.Check also the fire tubes for soot build up, clean as needed. The quantity and quality of product should also be considered, overloaded and/ or frozen product reduces the oil recovery.
Regards.
Hi there.
The soot or carbon have probably build up inside the fire tubes, better check and have an authorized service technician clean them.
Make sure that the fryer is receiving the rated gas pressure and correct gas type as stated on the nameplate, this way, carbon or soot formation on fire tubes can be prevented
Regards.
Hi there. You should inspect the fire tubes, it is a tunnel under the fry tank where the burner flames suppose to travel to heat up the oil. Your fire tubes may be clogged with soot or carbon that's why flames cannot go thru the fire tubes. Fire tubes must be free of soot or carbon deposits. Soot build up on fire tubes can be prevented by keeping the gas pressure at standard as much as possible, low gas pressure produce yellow flame or poor flame quality and in turn will produce soot. Also, make sure that no air or ventilation is directed towards the flue riser, otherwise, the same will result, flames rolling back towards the door. Regards.
Low gas pressure will produce low flame quality (yellow flame). Check and remove any dirt or soot on burner holes, and orifice Burner flame not going inside the fire tube could be due to soot or carbon build up inside the fire tube blocking the flame path, check the inside of the fire tube, if considerable amount of soot is seen, better have them removed. Yellow flame will cause a lot of problem on fryers if not corrected as soon as possible. If you have doubt on your gas regulator, better have a qualified service technician to check it.
Hi,
I am suposing that this fryer has worked good in this location before. If not, check to make sure it is set up right for your gas supply. (LP-Nat) There is something wrong with the gas - air flow in your unit. Look for obvious things first like exhaust being blocked, Flame dancing out side of fire area, Pilot too small, Build up of debris in fire box. The pilot should be able to be adjusted at the gas valve if it is too small. I believe you problem could be taken care of best with a good cleaning of the burner, fire box and pilot assemble. Make sure that all burner holes are clean especially around the pilot light. Check for oily debris inside the fire box to make sure its not leaking into the fire area. If you are unable to do this yourself, contact some one either in the restaurant equipment service business or heating and air conditioning business. Hope I have helped you.
