What is causing water to build up inside the refrigerator section? there is water in the crispers and on the shelves.

I understand that you are looking for the drain hole on your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FFHT1725PS, due to water building up on the shelves inside your refrigerator. There technically is no drain in your refrigerator. There is a drip pan, which collects water from the condenser underneath your appliance. There are some possibilities that are causing the water to build up on the shelves. First, make sure that all containers are covered. Condensation can evaporate from opened containers and create water on the walls and shelves. Secondly, make sure that the drawers that have your fruits and vegetables are completely closed and set to the correct setting. Fruits and vegetables are full of water. Thirdly, check to make sure that your doors are closing and sealing correctly. Moisture can come through an open door or a door that is not sealed correctly. I understand that you are receiving water at the bottom of your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FPUI2188LF. What can cause this is either humidity coming from outside your refrigerator or maybe from the crisper drawers. Make sure your crisper drawers are set for a high humidity. Another thing that can cause moisture build-up at the bottom of your appliance is not covering your foods. Is the water coming in from the ice maker water line dripping into the unit or from somewhere else?

On a top-freezer when the drain stops up water will back up turning to ice and eventually filling the air ducks with ice blocking airflow to the fresh food section causing it not to cool. You will also see a water leak inside the fresh food section. To fix this, remove the evaporator cover, (back or bottom of freezer) and then remove all the ice. Once all the ice is removed, you need to unclog the drain. I do this by forcing hot water down the drain with a turkey baser but you can use any squirt bottle, I have even used the water hose. Once the drain is clear, mix water and baking soda and pour it down the drain to prevent this from happening again anytime soon.

Water accumulating on the ceiling of the refrigerator is usually caused by a clogged drain in the freezer section beneath the evaporator. The clogged drain will cause water from the self defrost cycle to leak into the divider between the freezer and refrigerator. This water may then freeze and cause condensation build-up on the refrigerator ceiling. The solution to this problem begins with unclogging the drain. It may also be necessary to remove the entire freezer/refrigerator divider to thoroughly dry the insulation in the divider. Occasionally the insulation needs to be replaced to prevent a recurrence of the problem. This can be a big job – you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician.

Your drain tube is stopped up. Take the panel off in the freezer section and chip away the ice in the pan below the coil. When you get to the drain hole pour hot water in it until it free flows. You will need a towel in the freezer to catch the excess water. Run some extra hot water through it to assure that you clean the drain out good.

Your defrost drain hole is frozen closed.
Remove the back freezer panel and defrost the ice with a hair dryer.
Once the drain is clear poura 1/4 cup bleach in the drain hole.

I beleive that your thermostat is faulty which is causing an excessive build up of ice.

you are right about the cause of water in the fridge - blockage in the drain. i'v never met this caused by ice but it is possible.
with the freezer, the cause of the fault is the fan not working - probably jammed with ice. take back panel off inside freezer and check for ice build up. if loads of ice thgen defrost system has failed. you can do a temporary repair by melting the ice off with a hairdryer

open the freezer compartment loo for ice build up on floor of frezer especally towards rear behind back panel. sounds like you have a clogged/frozen defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere,pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials)
