Re: Have a hoover model F5914-900 it wont spray anything...
Yes, one thing to try: With the hose attached, place your hand over the suction opening at the pick-up end of the hose. Then pull the trigger. The pump is suction driven, and if there is air in the water line in the hose, that is known to allow th hose to prime in about 10 to 15 seconds.

The hose between your solutions tank and the sprayer is probably clogged. If you can hear the sprayer noise, and get no spray, you will have to get some solvent and use a syringe to clean the line. Remember each time you use it, you should pass two tanks of fresh water through it to clean it so it won't be clogged for your next use.
Sorry to hear you are having difficulties with you Hoover Quick & Lite. There are a few different things we can try to fix your hoover and get you cleaning again.
1. The sprayers may be clogged. Over time they will get clogged with soap and mineral deposits. This is a natural thing to happen, so don't fret. Fill you tank with a solution of half warm water and half vinegar. Let the mixture sit in the tank while the vacuum is running for awhile and then try to spray solution. This should loosen up anything clogging the sprayers and allow for a consistent flow of liquid.
2. Your handle may mot be attached properly. To fix this remove the 2 screws at the base of the handle on the back of the vacuum. Check the control arm inside. Make sure they are aligned properly. Below I have attached a video showing you how exactly they should look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXwLERxWjGU
3. The clean water solution tank is not installed correctly. Make sure the tank is attached firmly to the gasketets and nothing is out of place. Below i have attached a link to your vacuums manual which has diagrams for exactly how the tank and unit should fit together. http://hoover.com/file/958/

make sure that the supply line is clear ,some times if solution is allowed to dry in the line the soap dries and blocks the route of solution
Try and use some viniger to break up the deposits
Just a quick clarification please. Will the water not spray in both the attachment hose as well as the floor part? Or does it spray in one or the other. You suspect that it may have a clogged line, is the machine doing anything in particular that makes you think a clog?
After the last use did you run a FULL tank of HOT water throught he machine to clear the lines and the pump? If not the soap has clogged one of the two. If it is the lines simply remove them (one at a time is less confusing) clear them and all is good. If it is the pump (white L shaped object back left corner of machine as you face it) you will have to go to a local vacuum repair shop and order the part.
Then there most be a clog either in the hose or the dirt inlet by the brush roll. If you pull the hose off like you are going to use an attachment, is there suction there. If not, then the problem is in the hose. If there is suction, then the problem is down below,
The attachment hose is likely coaxial - meaning that it is a vacuum hose with the water supply line running through it. It is likely that the vacuum (outer) hosing is damaged. The attachment will still spray, but will not vacuum.
if you lay the handle section all the way down and look inside the unit, you will probably find the problem.
