Well, after you decide to make a song a ringtone, simply press set as and you'll see options such as ringtone,individual ringtone..etc.If you don't see the set as button, try press options,set as..etc.

LG does bury this link deep in their site, but here is the link to the driver for your 8575, it will work for the 8575. I would install it before connecting the phone if possible.
