Are you testing the spark through a new spark plug? some of these XL models developed a bad pulse generator. It's part of the Stator, I can't imagine it went bad just from sitting though

My Honda Fit had a strong gas smell. For 2 years I lived with it. I took it to 3 different mechanics and none could find anything. They couldn't smell it. I did find a Honda thread that discussed this same issue, and people found out that some of that year and model Fit had left the factory with spark plugs that weren't properly tightened, so gas leaks by. Eventually, the spark plug(s) work their way out of your engine, like it did with me going 70 mph on 93 in NH. Traumatic experience. Spark plug and melted coil replaced and no more gas smell. Honda must know about this. People have been complaining. There should be a recall.
What model and year honda do you have? If it's an accord, 90-93, take a look at your distributor by checking for spark, when the engine dies. If no spark, it's usually a bad distributor on those year accords.
check your spark plugs, next check for spark. you may have a bad plug cap, try and screw them in a little bit gently, sometimes they lose the contact between the wire and the cap, carbon issue.
if i remember its got a seperate oil tank with a dip stick. fill tank with oil until full mark on dip stick start bike run for 2min check oil and do the same if it needs more oil. if it doesnt have oil tank then it should take about 2.5L to 3.5L max
