Tv works fine until you turn it off, when you turn it back on the green light shuts off and the tv totally dies, the red light thats on when its turned off is not working either. Now if you unplug it for about 5 min. the red light comes back on and when you press power it begins to start then completley dies . if you keep repeating this it will eventually stay on, usally takes about a half an hour or more. Once you get it to turn on it works perfectly.

Check all caps in the power supply especially the 10mf 22vols cap.the caps are not filtering the voltage properly when the the current i off the caps drain the voltage and does not keep charging.until when current is applied to the set.good luck.

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

power light if it shuts down should blink a error code--count the blinks and a pause?

Unplug,replug,push the popwer buton couples time,see if stable green LED light,should get tv pic& suond back, not replaced the backlight video board it some how die.

Akai lct3201ad red standby light turns green then red again!

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

Green flashes then tv turns off

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.

Will not turn on
